I am completely new to moodle. I am working as an LTI tool integrator in moodle. I had a query regarding the communication of LTI tool back to the moodle. That is, I had an LTI tool for examinations and need to save the exam result against the user in moodle database. How can I do that?

I suggest you have a look at the external tool activity, which is the name for the LTI consumer module in Moodle: https://docs.moodle.org/36/en/External_tool

Thanks for the reply. I gone through the link you provided. It helps me to configure the LTI tool in my moodle, thanks. Actually my LTI tool is intended for conducting an exam and I need that exam result back to moodle. How it is possible to do that?

Sorry for this late reply.
Your LTI should send the results back to Moodle if the feature has been developed within the tool. This is why LTI was conceived in the first place.
