Adaptable - Text on front page Slider goes off screen

Hiya all,

I'm setting up a single slide slider but the text goes off the right had of the screen. I have used the div as stated in the slider settings. Also, the submit button previews OK in the editor but it's not on the slider. I'm using Moodle 3.6.2 and Adaptable 1.8.0. I noticed two mentions of the size of the slider image, one at 1600 x 400 and another at 1900 x 400. I have tried both of these sizes and both with and without the full screen checkbox.

Many thanks,

Nige.

What editor are you using? Atto can remove tags if they are not closed correctly

Did you set the number of slides to 1?

1900 x 400px is the recommended size but 1600 x 400 will be enough in many cases. The width is important to do not re-scale the image in HD screens

Hi Fernando,

Thank you for your response. I am using Atto, but I think all the tags are correctly set up, as is the width of the image. For now I have gone with the Info Block to add the banner.

Thank you,

Nigel.

Atto is well-known in this forum to strip tags it doesn't know or simply tags that are not correctly closed.

First, I would move to TinyMCE and then try to add the text. It should work.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip! I understood that TinyMCE was no longer supported and not the default editor? Are most people still using TinyMCE?

Thank you,

Nigel.

Just read about Atto in this forum. Better use TinyMCE
