Our college (a large FE college in the UK) is once again revisiting the idea of awarding courses (and their teaching teams) medals based on the kind of resources or activities that are used, and allows us to know where we need to target CPD.
Previously we'd used a similar setup that has been discussed here over the years:
Bronze - mainly receptive, repository like courses
Silver - has interactive resources, assessments etc
Gold - has collaborative activities
I was wondering who else uses a system like this, and if so - and most importantly - have you got evidence of the impact? Also, how many resources/activities/usage are courses required to get to be awarded a badge? How many courses reached 'gold' over time? etc etc..
The other question I has in mind was 'what other support does your institution provide to support staff in obtaining medals?'
Thanks for sharing,
