This has been coming for a long time, the Dark Side pooh-poohed Scott McNealy when he suggested the first outline for SaaS in the mid- to late-1990's, but now they want people to consider using Office365 like a credit card, or other service, use it, pay the bill monthly. I'm looking forward to the day when someone comes out with a killer OS  that can run on any hardware, with complementary apps. And the next version of Widows is going to out Chrome Google ChromeBooks... so they say.
