Export Theme from 1.9.7 to 3.6.2

Hi, 

As above. 

Is there a simple way of exporting/importing a theme from 1.9.7 to 3.6?

I'm guessing there going to be some config work that needs doing to make it work. But i cant get it to show up in the theme selector. or i dont think im getting the right files.
