Student Portfolio Suggestions?

Can you suggest a way that I can have my middle school students add their assignments into something that will result in some sort of showcase, or portfolio, once the school year is over?  They will be submitting assignments to me through the semester so I will have them, but I would also like them to be responsible for keeping track and documenting their work products.  Thanks for any suggestions!

I guess mahara is the perfect tool for that.

https://mahara.org/

It integrates very well into a moodle-environment, students can SSO into mahara from moodle and ist's a one klick solution to export stuff  from moodle to their own mahara-portfolio.

Thorsten, thank you so much!

I've installed it, linked it to my Moodle site, and will now proceed to learn Mahara.

I appreciate the suggestion and the reply!

We use Mahara in K-12 and it is nice to have the integration between Moodle and Mahara via an assignment module.

With this integration a student in Moodle can browse and then submit a portfolio page from Mahara and it will "lock" the page so no edits can be made until the teacher grades and releases the page.
