I am reasonably sure that the database activity can do what you what. The only thing I think might be a problem is the "comprehensive summary" that you want. It might be possible to put something in the, List view footer, that will give you that. Since you want time spent and time categories, I would suggest starting with the Time and Day Tracker preset that can be found here: https://moodle.net/mod/data/view.php?d=7&rid=726
Just modify it so it shows/does what you want. You will probably want to change the, Details field, and rename it to, Journal entry, or something similar, and of course change all the Task names to fit your categories.
