I spoke to quickly - jst after my last post, I went back and for some reason the text of the posts were no longer displaying. After some discussion and searching I was able to convert the blogger atom RSS 1.0 feeds to RSS 2.0 feeds using feedburner and choosing optimize content to RSS2.0
Things now work like a charm and I have brief notes about my last class posted on the main course page. The attached is a screenshot of what I mean
