The reason for which I post to this forum is that we are experiencing some issues with the recycle bin. It has come to our attention that when an item is deleted from a course sometimes is not shown inside recycle bin.
We tried to find the source of the problem, but ended up on a dead end.
Looking into the database we saw that indeed there were no new records in mdl_tool_recyclebin_course . Instead the items that can not be shown in the recycle bin are "stuck" in the table mdl_task_adhoc. We have already checked if cron is working properly (which it is accoring to the instructions on documentation).
Trying to figure out what is triggering this issue, we found that when the section drag and drop ('sectiondraggable' html class) is missing the recycle bin is working perfectly. But still we can not figure out what separates the courses that have a working recycle bin from the ones that don't. :/
Anyone has experienced this issue before or has an idea on this? We are using Moodle 3.5.3+ (Build: 20181116)
