Can you please help me for the below request.
1) Assume we have 3 Servers
- Sandbox -3.5 Version
- Prod 1.0 - 3.6 Version
- Prod 2.0 - 3.6 Version
we are planning to take entire site+meta data+courses+wiki pages all the sources backup from
- Prod 2.0 - 3.6 Version and store it as Package....is it possible?
Because i see taking backup in Moodle should be done on Individual activity [i mean , site settings once, courses once, wikie pages once]
Is there any plugin or any method to take entire site backup [which contains alll] and so that we can restore that backup file
I'm really not sure what you mean by "store it as Package"
- Moodle will backup courses in a .zip format, with a .mbz file suffix.
Site backups are one thing - and you could probably do this just by creating snapshots of your server. If you want to take a copy of a whole site, everything, and restore that (as a new site?) then server snapshots is the way to go.
However, when you talk about backing up courses, then all activities within a course will be backed up within each course - e.g. the Wiki that you refer to.
