Hello,

i want to ask the following

integrate -3(2*x-4)^5.

It is not necessary to expand (2*x-4)^5 to integrate, you can use the "inverse chain-rule"(I hope you know what I mean!?) and find -1/4(2*x-4)^6. But STACK gives a expanded version. So I wrote:

factor(int(-3(2*x-4)^5,x))

but the expression is not equal to -1/4(2*x-4)^6, it is -16*(x-4)*x*(x^2-6*x+12)*(x^2-2*x+4).

Can anybody help?

Greetings, Regine
