Version of Moodle: 3.5.2 (Build: 20180910)

Hey all,

This is my first time using the community. The company I work for is looking to implement an LMS and Moodle was suggested to us.

Some general background on our company; we provide a Dispatching software for other companies that have fleets of technicians that might service different customers.

The objective we'd like to accomplish with Moodle, is to provide our onboarding team a way to manage our new customers learning experience with resources and quizzes that will help reinforce how to successfully utilize our software.

Here's how we see Moodle working for us, we could be misguided on the proper expectations, so we're looking for guidance!

  • Create Courses that our Teachers (Onboarders) will have access
  • Teachers will assign their Cohorts (which will be their new Customers) to relevant Groups (Technicians, Office Users, Admins, etc)
  • Courses will then be assigned to the correct Cohort's Groups (IE: Office User's only seeing Dispatching 101 or Dispatching 201, etc)
  • Teacher must be able review analytics by the Cohort and Group, in a quick easy to view Dashboard or Report
  • Report must show what content has been completed by user, their grades, their overall completion percentage, etc.

The key here is that we need to be able to have our onboarders (Teachers) quickly identify our customer's (Cohorts/Groups) overall progress. We'd prefer that our Teachers have the ability to quickly review ALL of their customer's enrolled Course's progress, rather than drilling into each course.

Is this something Moodle should be able to do? If so, how?

Is there anyone that has any insight on this?

It looks like the reporting on Moodle is a bit lacking (without going the route of customizable plugins). This is holding us back from being able to dip our feet into Moodle.
