First, is there a way to add a section parameter to a URL? Without this, I can see that it would be difficult to subdivide URL clickable link within a course. Indeed, perhaps addition subdivision within a section may also be required, so how can you add custom variable parameters?
To answer my one question here, we junked the URL and variables in favour of the Webhooks plugin, which allow many more parameters to be fired at our web service
