I see an integrity problem with the "Interests" part of the tag system in Moodle, with users being able to see that other users share their interests without being able to choose their visibility. On the other hand, it's great to have your favourite tags in a list. I have written a suggestion in the tracker, perhaps other users more comfortable with tags/interests could fill in if I have misunderstood something? https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-65927
