Hi folks, I hope you are well.
We recently performed an update of Moodle from 3.0 - 3.5 and updated all our plugins too. We have noticed that now when logged in as a teacher role, our topics are appearing as greyed out (based on restrictions). Beforehand topics would only be greyed out for anyone under the student role which is how we want it to be.
But now teachers have a bunch of greyed out topics which makes navigation tricky.
Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas? The screenshot shows me logged in below (As the site admin)
Ok, what version of Moodle and the Grid format are you using?
Also if a teacher is in editing mode then they can see the list of activities and resources within each section underneath the grid anyway!
Hey Gareth, thanks for getting back to me.
We have just upgraded to Moodle Version 3.5 and the Grid format is version 22.214.171.124.
That's true about the editing mode, in fact, that's what we are doing for now. It's just strange that it's happening after we upgraded. It's as if the "shown hidden in grey" restrictions apply for teachers too.
No worries, they should not when editing is off for teachers.
Not strange at all because of 'Fix logic of showing grid boxes depending on if it is visible against the grey out setting and course 'Hidden sections' option.' that I did back in v126.96.36.199. Thus a better indication to teachers of the current state of the section settings.
