Turn off flag a question (and/or advance to next answer field with one tab?)

We have elementary (8 year old) students dong timed math tests on Moodle quiz. These are numeric/short answer questions. Students enter an answer and then hit tab twice to advance to the next field. Some of our teachers wondered if we could just have one tab advance the cursor to the next field.

It seems like the first tab highlights the flag question link, so was wondering if there was a way to toggle that off, or another option for advancing with one key press.

Interesting question, and I am not sure how you can do it.

But your question made me wonder if your students never use the flag feature, and that you want to eliminate it?

In my courses, I do know that students do use the flag feature, so being able to activate it via the keyboard is important (maybe for accessibility reasons.) But I am unsure about 8-year olds.

There is a capability (moodle/question:flag). Remove that capability from the Student role (either globally, or be editing the permissions in one course/quiz).
