Maxima's "ind" and "und" (indefinite & undefined!?)

Maxima's "ind" and "und" (indefinite & undefined!?)

Hello!
What's the difference between \lim_{x\to 0}\sin(\frac{1}/{x}) and \lim_ {x\to 0}\frac{\sin(\frac{1}{x})}{x}?

For limit(sin(1/x),x,0) Maxima returns "ind" and for limit(sin(1/x)/x,x,0) Maxima returns "und".

Greetings

Regine,

This is really a question for the Maxima community!  STACK does rely on Maxima for a lot of these decisions. Some I agree with, some I've provided alternatives for through bespoke behaviour in STACK when this was sensible from an assessment perspective.

Chris,

I see, but I had hoped that a stack user would have to deal with this circumstance as he asks questions to limits of sequences.
