Adaptable and the "Token Login"

Adaptable and the "Token Login"

As it has been commented in several forums from version 3.5.3, and therefore the new version 3.6 in testing at present, uses a new method of authentication based on a token ("Login token")

This new method of authentication requires themes that use their own login box to modify the code. Or sites using SSO with any protocol (SAML, CAS, ...) will block the access and the user will not be able to log in to moodle.

We are working on a new version that will solve this problem, as well as new improvements and bug fixes.

It is planned to publish the new version of Adaptable on week 47. If you have updated your site to the latest version of moodle 3.5.3 and have this problem, there is a temporary solution by adding a line in config.php

Other solution is change the login method to "Button". Then the user will be redirected to the moodle login that already include the token .

For more information see the document https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Login_token where the new method is explained, how to apply it and use it in a custom theme and how to avoid problems if you can't access your moodle

You can download updated versions of Adaptable, fixing the "Login Token", for old moodle versions from our BitBucket repository:

For Moodle 3.0, 3.1, 3.2  -> Adaptable 1.3.4  (No more support for this version in the future. Upgrade your moodle site)

https://bitbucket.org/covuni/moodle-theme_adaptable/get/version-1.3.4-2018111800.zip

For Moodle 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 -> Adaptable 1.6.2

https://bitbucket.org/covuni/moodle-theme_adaptable/get/version-1.6.2-2018111800.zip

Adaptable new release for Moodle 3.6 will be available a few days after the Beta release. In the meantime USE ONLY IN A SANDBOX OR TEST ENVIRONMENT. IT IS NOT FOR PRODUCTION SITES

Moodle just released a few hours ago a 3.6 Beta version so we need to perform some tests before to release a new version.

If it is not possible then we'll release a new version for moodle 3.5 at the end of this week

Not enough information on what to do to fix this issue.  Can't access my site at all and have very limited knowledge.  More information would be useful.  You seem to assume a level of knowledge I do not have.

What is the issue?

What moodle version?

What Adaptable version?

Why don't you follow the forum rules?

Who do not provide information about your issue is you so it is impossible to provide help you.

We assume that someone that install, configure and manage a moodle site has at least a little knowledge of what he is doing. Or at least, that is able to answer the questions indicated below.
