Tutoring Business: Using Moodle for Sessions not Courses

Tutoring Business: Using Moodle for Sessions not Courses

Trying to configure Moodle to function as a tutoring management platform. It is difficult to do this because Moodle is set up to facilitate coursework and not individualized tutoring sessions. My goal is to offer clients sessions, not classes. This is difficult because Moodle Is course oriented and manages enrollment by date ranges and not hourly sessions. Moreover, because I want to operate a tutoring business, this makes payment integrations and booking tutorials sessions (by the hour) impossible...or so  It would seem.

Does anyone have creative ideas about configuring Moodle to facilitate a tutoring service based on sessions instead of course enrollment?

Might you set up a "course" for each topic that you tutor?  Then, allow your students access to the appropriate "course?"

I don't use enrollment dates.  I am not sure what you are trying to do, but a "course" can always be open.  (Just trying to stimulate discussion and ideas for you.)
