can I transfer root of moodle web without losing anything?

I have Moodle at www.ormistoncollege.com/moodle. Is there a clean way of moving it to www.ormistoncollege.com/octal without losing any database inclusions already made?

I started using moodle last year and started with /moodle but would like to rationale the path on the web as we have called the site OCTAL (Ormiston College Teaching And Learning).

Thanks

If you simply change the name of the directory from "moodle" to "octal" and then change $CFG->wwwroot  and $CFG->dirroot accordingly in the config.php file, everything should still work.   Try it and see.  If it doesn't, all you would have to do is to change these three items back to the original and you will be back to where you started.

Of course, it is always wise to do a full back-up before playing with such things.
