Is there any initiative to clean up grade aggregation methods in Moodle? For example, solve MDL-61026?

I tried to deactivate as many options as possible from the grade aggregation methods, since the huge range of features mostly confuses our teachers. However, since "Natural" cannot really replace what it was designed to replace (See MDL-61026), what we have now is even more options than before, since I had to re-enable most of the original grade aggregation methods.

This is one of the worst things about the already confusing grade setup system in Moodle. There are also a lot of other very unintuitive things (for example, aggregation methods and grade calculation formulas are set in different submenus, which makes no sense at all).

The failure of "Natural" to really replace what it was made to replace, along with the missing option of setting a mandatory grade to pass the course (MDL-61029, what an irony that we actually have this option but it only works in the context of course completion), means that a lot of our teachers are unable to set up their gradebook themselves, and moodle administration has to spend time supporting them.

Even for us admins it is often confusing to juggle with formulas and different aggregation options that basically do the same but differ in fine nuances, like the ability to set the sum of grades or not.
