Extra code in the quizes causing a problem in mobile/slowing the page down?

Hi there!

When I copy and past  quiz questions from a google doc or word doc, I notice that a lot of extra code is copied along with the text. Does this slow down the loading of the page or affect the mobile versions? should I leave the extra code or delete it?

What method do you recommend for inputting data for quizes?

--copying from a google doc

-- copying from a word doc

--copying from .rtf

(I'm using MoodleCloud version 3.5)

Thanks in advance!

Warm regards,

Poonam

Hi Poonam,

When copying from:

--copying from a google doc

-- copying from a word doc

--copying from .rtf

You will get a lot of hidden code too, that can in some cases, "Break," your Moodle site.

A very easy way to prevent this, is to paste into Notepad first, and then copy and paste from Notepad into Moodle. If you don't have access to Notepad, any other plain text editor can be used.

Dear Al,

Thank you for the tip. I'll use a pain text editor then.

Warm regards,

Poonam
