I just saw this...I just updated to 3.6 and my contemporary looks fine for admin but teachers don't see the menus at all (which is weird). I don't know what happens for students--I didn't look any further. Maybe contemporary is just a little odd?
I generally use Boost but one of my adventurous teachers changed their course theme and then thought they'd broken something...
