I used to upgrade Moodle firstly by download new instance of Moodle then starting downloading/uploading new version of plugins , after that hitting upgrade process.
But now I have 45 different type of plugins (all have been downloaded from Moodle plugins directory) and it is really headache to copy and paste the plugins to new Moodle instance before upgrading.
my question: is there a way that Moodle can upgrade to new version (ex 3.5), and Moodle by itself download all required new plugins from Moodle Plugins directory? I mean no need to worry about going through all plugins previously installed and check for new version in the Moodle plugins directory and after that download it into it is location in new Moodle folder structure.
I heard about git update/upgrade, does GIT update/upgrade Moodle without losing of plugins directories?
Note that, I am using Moodle 3.3 and it is time for me to upgrade to 3.5.
