I rebuilt my moodle site. I move from Ubuntu 14 to 16, upgraded by moodle from 3.3 to 3.5 and changed my domain name. All went well. Prior to rebuilding, I backed up my course and question banks. I'm having trouble importing one of my course and one of my question banks. I get the following message:
The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.
I changed the max file size using the following:
sudo vi /etc/php/7.0/cli/php.ini
I changed it from 2 M to 5 M and this made no difference. (I rebooted to make sure the change took effect).
Any suggestions on how to either increase the size limiit or an alternative way to upload my course and question bank to the site?
I changed both those values ( file size and post max size) in the file to 20M and I'm getting the same problem.
I rebooted the server after making the changes. The file I'm trying to import in one instance is only 3 M.
It seems that no matter what I do with the php.ini file the changes are not taking effect. When I go to php info on the site its still has the fault values. Is there another way to push my files to the server?
Ok so I resolved the problem. Apparently there are two php.ini files. The one that had to be changed was in the apache2 directory.
