Hello,

I know MOODLE doesn't fully support SCORM 2004 and we are encourage to use SCOME 1.2

I am working on the final assessment with 80 questions and a question bank of 400, which mean a lot of slides and data.

When I uploaded the SCORM 1.2 zipped file to Moodle 3.5, it cannot take the user to the correct question slide when resumed. It may be caused by date limit of SCORM 1.2. https://articulate.com/support/article/exceeding-scorm-suspend-data-limits

I tried SCORM 2004 and it can resume correctly; right now it works ok on Moodle while I am wondering what feature Moodle will support for SCORM 2004.

My courses are also multiple-choice questions with quiz result report to Moodle. Will the SCORM 2004 with simple features work stable on Moodle?

Moodle will not play SCORM 2004 packages, and there is no plan for that capability to be added.  Most LMSs are focusing on xAPI, and development is being done on that for Moodle.

If you need to run SCORM 2004, then I suggest you use SCORM Cloud with their Dispatch mode. You store the SCORM 2004 module on SCORM Cloud and use Dispatch to create a small SCORM shell which will run the 2004 module in SCORM 1.2 mode.  You place the SCORM Cloud Dispatch shell/module in Moodle.

Matteo's suggestions work on our Moodle for we have 3.5. I will write your suggestions down also in case we have the similar issue to use SCORM cloud.

Hi Wei,

It may be caused by date limit of SCORM 1.2. https://articulate.com/support/article/exceeding-scorm-suspend-data-limits

If that is true, Moodle could overcome that limit, depending on your version (2.7+): https://docs.moodle.org/27/en/SCORM_settings#Other_Important_Settings > Enable SCORM 1.2 standards mode (MDL-41476).
