Giving a non-standard numerical grade

Giving a non-standard numerical grade

Hi,

I am trying to set something up where students report a self-assessed score and can track how they improve over time.

Thus for example, suppose the first time a student does said activity they self report a score of 76 that becomes their first score. If they then do the activity again and self-assess a score of 86 that becomes the score for their second attempt etc. I would like a way for them to see how they did on the various attempts.

I thought of doing this in a quiz using the numerical question type where a student would be asked to input a number and the score would match their input. My problem is, Moodle does not seem to accept scores that are not "standard" from the drop down menu..e.g. 86 (even when I import the question).

Any suggestions? Is quiz the best way to do this? Any way around the grading limitation mentioned?

Thank you.
