Hello fellow Moodlers!
Is there any kind of common file repository where a PDF file could live, where I could link to that file from any Lesson, within any course, and any student who is viewing that Lesson would be able to view that file?
Currently we include PDF files alongside the Lesson as a course resource, and link to it from within the Lesson using a regular href link. Unfortunately the links to those PDFs from within Lessons seem to be created by Moodle as absolute and not relative links, so when the course is copied, the copied links attempt to open the PDF in the original course (which students in the copy won't have access to, because they're not enrolled in the original course).
I'd like to find a way to avoid having to update every link to the local PDF file whenever this course is copied. (We are using backup and restore to copy the course -- if there's a better way to create the course copy that wouldn't have this problem, I'd be interested to hear about that as well. I know that's a stretch.)
We are on Moodle 3.3, if that helps.
