I'm wondering why in the event creation modal the duration field is considered "advanced" and therefore hidden by default. For us the duration is a common field of calendar events, but since it's marked as "advanced" it's more tedious to use and easier to overlook.
In my opinion it's not uncommon for events to have definite start and end times. In other Software like Outlook or Google Calendar you have to specify how long each event lasts. I'm not saying you should have to specify an end time in Moodle, just that the duration setting should be visible without having to click on "Show more...".
Can someone tell me what's the reason for making it "advanced"? Would it be OK to make the duration setting visible by default?
