Backing up site and question banks with images

Backing up site and question banks with images

I'm in the process of creating questions in the question bank for my site. Many of the questions have images which I've uploaded when creating the questions. I have two questions:

1. Where are all the images I've uploaded stored in my server? (I want to reuse some images without having to reload every time)

2. When I back up my site, do all my images back up as well? (I don't want after I create  all these questions and something happens I lose my data).

Thanks in advance and I hope I'm posting in the right forum.

Best regards

2. The images are backed up as part of the question. All images in Moodle are closely linked to the content they are used in, for just that reason.

1. I am not going to try to explain the technicalities here (it is in the developer documentation). The easiest way to reuse images is to put them in 'My private files' first, then you can reuse them from there: https://docs.moodle.org/35/en/Private_files
