Database field order (not sort order) is inverted when course is reimported

Hi all,

this happens when I carry out a course content import from another course in Moodle 3.4: the field order of my database is inverted.

  • This makes that the preset database templates do not work e.g. in the view "new entry"
  • e.g. the new entry form expects as a first input the radio button whereas the templates provides code for an image upload, as was specified in the old course.

Am I doing something wrong, is this in any way a configuration error? Please see also attached screenshots to visualize.

Best regards & thanks for a quick note on that.

Wiebke

Particularly helpful Moodlers

The field display order has no effect on Templates.

The templates use [ [and ] ] to define how the "add entry", "View List" and "View Single" look like, has nothing to do with the field orders.

You didn't do anything wrong and there is nothing you can do about the order because the order has nothing to do with the templates.

If you think your "Add entry" template is having a problem, just check it out. Please let me know if you need more help. If you can attach your preset here, I can have a check for you.
