Grading: Download Submissions in Folders

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to set the default  of the "Download Submissions in Folders" button to unchecked for the entire site. We really like this feature. However, most assignments require students to turn in only one file. We would love to be able to have this option set to off so that only one folder is downloaded to included all student assignments.  Single file assignments are much easier to manage in one folder and require much less back and forth. 


Any suggestions?

Hi,
I was wondering if you found a solution for that?
I have the same problem on our platform, with only 1 document in almost all the assignments.
I didn't even know that this button exists, i can't find it on our Moodle...

Hi Marion

I hope you found a solution; if not here's the meat:

I am using Moodle 3.6 

  1. The option appears when you click "Download All Submissions"
  2. At the end of the list of students, there is an Options section as shown.
  3. Simply deselect the option to download in folders.



I agree it is annoying when each participant is submitting only one file...even more frustrating  when you have worked out a strategy for correcting group work and returning feedback files as a group!
