Can't make course public! Always prompt for login!

I tried everything but I can't make either a course public(main goal) or with guest access. 


The course list displays an icon indicating guest access or auto enrollment, but when I click the course it stills redirects to a login page.


What else can I do?

There's no such thing as a "public" course in Moodle. Everybody has to log in. If you have Guest_access enabled then a button appears on the login page to enable them to login as guest (or you can permit auto-login of guest which I think is what you want).
