sorry for the delay in answering, it's been some crazy months lately.
I think Pau updated a bit the documentation about this:

However, there isn't a list of specific rules since in most cases we just use Ionic components and styles. I recommend you to use the webapp along with the inspector to check the styles you want to improve (and feel free to document some common cases in the wiki!).
