Book title text displays as [[modulenameplural]]

I have installed the book module as explained in this discussion group. It seems to work, but the module shows in the config dialog as modulename. It also displays similar artifacts when the book activity is involded, e.g. modulenameplural, etc.

Is there a way to resolve this problem?

The words in brackets are missing language strings.
Have you copied the langfile book.php to ../lang/en/ ?

I had installed the lang pack several times without luck. You inspired me to try one more time and it did work. I must have done something wrong during my initial efforts but now have satistifaction.

I'm once again acending the learning curve.
