Enrolment rabbithole

We have a list of 9 courses and we want students to be able to choose only 3 out of 9 for free. Once they choose and self enrol in 3, they should not be allowed to enrol in any other. I have thought of enrolment keys but those can be shared with other students so we don't want any risk.

We have tried coupon plugin but found that hectic, messy, confusing, lengthy and complex so don't want to use that.

What would be the best way to achieve this by default as we don't want students choosing more than 3 free courses.

Hello,

You could have a look in the Moodle plugins directory whether there's a custom plugin that will provide the functionality that you want.

Otherwise, in standard Moodle I think enrolment keys are the best solution, maybe with a message requesting that students don't share them.

Thanks. There is no custom plugin. And, also do you think students will listen when we say dont share it? Thanks
