hi,

I've changed my splash screens with ionic resources command but still haven't see the changes in my mobile app .one of my friends told me that you need compiling...is there any one who knows what he means by compiling? do i need building or such a thing?

I've read https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Moodle_Mobile_Automatic_Building_System this document but i got more confusedmixed

thanks

Hi,

sorry for the delay in answering, it's been some crazy months lately.

Maybe you already found a solution after so much time. Please take a look at this guide:

https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Setting_up_your_development_environment_for_Moodle_Mobile_2

Cheers,

Dani

Re: how can i compile my own apk

Hi Dani,

I have compiled the APK and found the facing following issues

  • Splash screen appears after 30 seconds (on some mobiles splash screen takes long time)
  • After load it takes 250+ MB of RAM in mobile.

I have not used any external CSS and even application loaded is at site url screen, please advise.

  • ionic 3.20.0
  • cordova 6.5.0 & 8.0.0 both tried
  • node 8.10.0
  • npm -v 5.7.1

Regards,

Asad

Hi,

you should compile in AOT to decrease the start time of the app:

https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Setting_up_your_development_environment_for_Moodle_Mobile_2#Compiling_using_AOT

Cheers,

Dani
