Guidance it is then ... with some explanation smile

Think you've gotten things confused.

Downloading the zip provides just the moodle code which is nothing more than
a bunch of PHP and Javascript files.   If one downloads just the code, the installer (ie, you)  has already installed a Web service (server like IIS or Apache) and a DB service (like MySQL, MariaDB, or MSSQL) and PHP + supports.

If you did not install a web server, DB server and install PHP, then all you have is the code.

One can download a complete install package for Windows.
Directions here: https://docs.moodle.org/35/en/Complete_install_packages_for_Windows

However, if your goal is as you've said ...
"looking at creating courses on moodle and then putting them up on my business website (wordpress)."

WordPress is a blog ... Moodle is a course management or learning management system.
One does NOT just copy files from Moodle and upload them to WordPress.

Now you could install a moodle on the same server were your WordPress is hosted and have it be in another directory or accessible by another domain name that happens to be served from the same server as your wordpress site.   That could be fairly easy or one might have to do so manually depending upon with what provider the WordPress site is hosted.

If all the above is 'greek and latin' ....

Might I suggest for you a different path (until one can speak a little 'geek') ... Use MoodleCloud ...
