mysqlslap is a diagnostic program designed to emulate client load for a MySQL server and to report the timing of each stage. It works as if multiple clients are accessing the server.Yes, I am aware of jmeter and that's a test of the entire 'package' ... apache, PHP, DB backend, but was looking for some other tools one might run on a production server with restrictions/limiations as not to push it over the edge (for very long). And without creating a test course with test users, etc. that would require 'clean up'.
After a new installation, I usually have to monitor DB server for a while looking for number of dropped connections and such. Guess am getting lazy!
Thanks, in advance, for any comments/suggested tools.
