I'm hosting Moodle 3.3+ (soon 3.5) on two Windows Server 2016 servers.
I put my moodledata folder on a different server, which is accessible by the web server.
It's setup is similar to this:
$CFG->dataroot = '\\\192.168.0.122\\moodledata';"moodledata" is the name of my share on the remote server, which is directly linked to the moodledata folder.
IUSR has read/write access.
"Users" has read/write access.
My application pool identity user has total control on the folder.
IIS_IUSRS has read/write access.
Permission inheritance is activated on the folder.
I tried giving "Everyone" Full Control on the share (and the folder itself) as a test and I still cannot access the folder. Yet, it does not show the error that means there folder is wrong, but really just access rights !
Is there a user I'm missing ? I would love to see some kind of detailed error where X user might be missing. I tried following the doc for IIS users and it still does not work.
Any here will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
