I have been given the task of providing an association with a login/password-protected site members can use to upload fixed images, videos, PDFs, Word docs and especially interacting on forums. As a long-time believer in Moodle I prefer using it for this rather than getting involved in learning Drupal or similar and possibly screwing up my mariadb database with multiple platforms (especially when updating versions of Drupal--what a headache!). The problem, of course, are the built-in constant references to "courses" and similar teaching-related terms in Moodle. I was wondering about two things: 1) is there a magic-bullet theme out there somewhere that manages somehow to kill such references, thereby turning the Moodle LMS into a CMS like Drupal, but retaining the forums of Moodle (a feature that must be "glued" onto Drupal it appears); 2) if such a theme isn't available, is there any way to get under the hood, as it were, of Moodle and delete such terms as "courses" and similar in a fairly safe manner? Thanks in advance for some help pointing me in the right direction with this. Otherwise I simply tell the people in the association to pretend they don't see the word "courses" and similar or I take the plunge and try to master Drupal--not a pleasant thought.
