Moodle 3.4 Email Based Registration - reCAPTCHA V2 - Cannot create account

Hello,

When using the Email Based Registration plugin I believe reCAPTCHA V2 is now usable within Moodle 3.4.

I understand there was a tracker entry regarding reCAPTCHA and this plugin however I had read that the fix is within Moodle 3.4.


The issue I currently have is that while reCAPTCHA V2 works, the form does not detect its complete, for example, All details are added and there is a green tick on reCAPTCHA V2 that states that it has been accepted, once I click on "Create account" it states that reCAPTCHA is missing and refreshes the page.


Any suggestions?

Hi Andrew,
MDL-48501 says that you need at least 3.4.2: what is your actual version?

It is 3.4 not 3.4.2.

Is there no other way in getting this working other than upgrading 3.4.2?

Hi Andrew,
no way but a bit of developer skills to back-port it to your version.

I strongly suggest you to update to the latest 3.4+, for other security reasons too.
Or you can wait some more days for the upcoming 3.4.3: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=370382 .
