Hi, I'm a new Moodle user and a have a frustrating problem I can't seem to solve! I downloaded Moodle a week or so ago and today when I tried to get into the site, via my user name and password, I was unable to do so. I have been able to access my site but just not get into to make any changes. I'm virtually certain I've used the correct user name and password. I tried resetting it but this doesn't seem to work (I've tried the junk mail folders in my e-mail account but no luck). Can anyone offer any suggestions? Forgive my ignorance, I've used moodle before as a lecturer but never attempted to set up my own site.

If you are unable to reset your password from the front end then please try the below-mentioned steps to reset the password.
1. Go to your Moodle database.
2. Then go to the mdl_user table and edit the user for which you want to reset the password.
3. In password row, enter your new password in value column and choose MD5 in function column.
4. Then save the changes.
