I'm looking to change the default number of records displayed when viewing a database activity. Currently it's 10.
I know that I can change it by setting "Entries per page" to whatever number I want it to, however this only affects my account. We'd like to set it to a higher number as a default for all users.
Any thoughts? I found this https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=101049 but the original poster developed his own custom solution...

Here is the workaround.
1. Create a search in the 'Search' tab, select 1000 for 'Entries per page'
2. Copy the URL of your search result
3. Create linked text in the 'Table header' areas (View List and View Single), you can call it 'View ALL'

Thanks for the workaround. It's a shame there isn't a way to do this automatically and instead requiring the user to do a separate click to view all resources.

No, it is not "user to do a separate click to view all resources".
When you are creating the templates, you add the 'View all' at the top, or even in the Description area. You can make the 'View all' in big font, or bright colour, then, no one will miss it.
I'm really confused by your statement.
Just because no one will miss it, doesn't mean they don't have to do a separate click to access it. They still have to click on the "View all" link to view all the resources, no matter how big or prominent you make the link. Unless I'm missing something?

Yes, you are perfectly correct, you didn't miss anything.
Workaround:
1. Create the 'View all' url.
2. Add a new resource: URL to the "View All"
3. Make you 'Database' activity "orphaned" or "Accessible but invisible"
Thanks! Normally that would work, unfortunately we're implementing a database in the "Single activity" course format. Thanks for the tips though, we're providing "View all resources" as a link.
