Mobile app - can site address be saved as default

Hi,

I'm using the mobile app version of our site (not customised).

Every time i go on the app it asks for site address, is there any way this can be saved as a default? I know our staff are going to have trouble with this.

I am not techy at all so please consider this in your response  smile

Thanks

Suz

Hi,

do you mean that the user credentials are not stored in the device and you need to access everytime you close the app?

Or do you mean that the URL is always pre-filled? (that's not possible)

we need to enter the URL of the site every time -  https://gcpsychiatrytraining.moodle.school/

is there anyway this can be retained? Our staff will not remember this URL.

Re: Mobile app - can site address be saved as default

Hi Folks

Some of my lecturers and students are also having the same issue.

Each time they enter the app they have to re-enter the site address (https://moodle.yeovil.ac.uk) before they login. I haven't managed to replicate the problem on my own device (Android), so I don't think its an issue with our Moodle instance. I have noted that when the issue was demoed for me that it was on an apple device.

Suzanne, have you seen any correlation between device types or is it across mobile platforms?

Thanks

Chris

Hi,

could you confirm if it's only happening on IOS devices and the exact iOS version?

I suspect it may be related to latest iOS 11.3.1 update to Safari browser (that is having collateral effects)

Chris,

could you ask your lecturers to follow this guide?

https://www.imobie.com/support/fix-safari-not-working-problem-ios-device-iphone-ipad.htm

And let us know if it fixed the issue (even if its not related to Moodle Mobile app)
