I would appreciate help on the following area-- How do I Edit the Course Description once it has been set and a course has been created?

Hi,

Go inside the course.

Click on the gear icon which is on top right corner.

Click on Edit settings.

It will redirects you to the course editing screen where you will find the course description text box. Edit it and click on Save changes button at the bottom.

You are done.
