Hi all
I want the participants to grab an account from a prepared set of accounts like user01, user02, etc. The passwords are known to all. This happens on the day of the workshop in an isolated wireless LAN. So no worries about security!
How do I make sure that no two participants will grab the same account? One way is to block the account to second log in. Or, I won't be surprised if there is an authentication plug-in made for this. Any hints? The Moodle version is 3.4.
Hi,
Check out this Unique login plugin: https://moodle.org/plugins/auth_uniquelogin
Hi Kavita
I had the Unique Login plug-in my mind. I though the new log in will log out the old log in. Which is not what I want. I want Moodle to refuse the new log in.
In the mean time I've found https://docs.moodle.org/34/en/No_authentication. It achieves what I want if I adjust my concept. With "No authentication" the user chooses a Username - not the user01, user02, ... as planned, and there are no passwords! So there is a slight chance of two people getting the same Username(?) I will check.
