Is there any way to disable submission comments on individual assignments? My students are finding it confusing and using them to submit their assignments.

Hi Sara - I am about to move your post to the Assignments forum. As I understand it, submission comments are either on or off according to the site admin setting - Administration>Plugins>Activity modules>Assignment>Submission plugins and the comments setting globally.
