Atto text editor

Hi there everyone, I just installed the latest version of moodle 3.
I am using the Atto editor that comes with moodle. I am facing one problem though: I can't see any icons in my editor and as a result I can't embed any video nor use html.

If anyone have encountered this problem before, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance. smile

I am surprised you do not have a reply by now, but then..mmm Atto.

Fix #1: Go to Site Admin > Plugins > Text Editors and then Manage Editors. Select Category: Atto HTML Editor.  Scroll down and see if the default settings look something like:

Default:
collapse = collapse
style1 = title, bold, italic
list = unorderedlist, orderedlist
links = link
files = image, media, managefiles
style2 = underline, strike, subscript, superscript
align = align
indent = indent
insert = equation, charmap, table, clear
undo = undo
accessibility = accessibilitychecker, accessibilityhelper
other = html

If not, then you might want to save yourself some trouble and go back to the Manage Editors page and:

Fix #2: Using the Up/Down arrows swap the editors around and use TinyMCE HTML editor instead.

If there is an issue with the buttons there then something has gone wrong. Try deleting the entire Editors folder and replacing it with a clean download, that will sometimes fix issues with particular tools, but not always. Make sure no-one is using the Moodle first though, it's a middle of the night job in Maintenance mode.
