Is it possible for the tutor / teacher on a Moodle course to change the status of a submitted quiz from submitted to unsubmitted so that a student can continue working on their attempt?
I have been asked to raise this by a tutor at our university. The quiz in question was set to 1 attempt only. A couple of students needed to be given the chance to reattempt the quiz, We know that you can set a user override for a student, for example, giving them 2 attempts. You can also delete a student's attempt within the quiz results screen so that they can then have another go.
However, is it possible to simply change the status of the submitted quiz to unsubmitted so that the student can continue working on their attempt? If not, I don't know if it would be possible for something like this to be added in some future iteration of Moodle? Or, are there very good reasons why this is not a good idea?
Any answers on this, even if this is just to explain the rationale for not allowing a tutor to change a students submitted quiz from submitted to unsubmitted, would be really helpful and I can then go back to the tutor with what can be done or a reason for why this is not possible.
Thanks in advance.
